Netraheen Vikas Sansthan is an NGO that is working for the rehabilitation of blind, deaf and dumb students in India and it also arranges education camps for the blind, deaf and dumb students to motivate them towards education. The institute provides free education with boarding and lodging facility separately for boys and girls. The School was started on 15th August 1977 with only two blind students the number of which has gone to 247 at present out of which 90 are girls.NVS is the only institute in Rajasthan that has hostel facility for girls. The school is up to senior secondary level . All the teachers are well trained and highly qualified and many of them are blind too. The result of 10th and 12th Board exams itself speaks about the school as it has always been maintained at 100% since beginning of school. The Students of the school have been awarded several times Medals and Prizes not only at National, State and District level but also at International level in the field of various Education, Sports and Music competitions.

CraftandVocationalEducation
The craft education is compulsory from class 1st to 8th. The education includes of canning of chairs, weaving & spinning of bed sheets & towels on Handloom machines. The school arranges Learn and Earn program for the students as the students are paid for all these activities. They are also sent to Polytechnic College to attend special craft courses.

Computer Education
School has recently established a fully air conditioned Computer Lab with the help of respected NRI donor Mr.Premchand Gadda & his friends from USA having 17 computers equipped with all latest hardware & software useful for blind .Compauters as a subject is compulsory for classes 6th to 12th and the basic course classes are taken by the trained teachers. Recently the School has started a three month Certificate course in association with Polytechnic College, Jodhpur. 14 students have completed this course during the session 2007-08 .

Developing countries are those which require the maximum attention. Since these are like growing children, the growth years need attention for them to grow up into successful constituencies. Inadequate care and ignorance can also lead to adverse results. Planning forms the essence of constituencies like these and careful execution forms the need of the hour. Strategic development strategies are required to keep the development of the countries in the upward direction. And for the development of these strategic plans one needs an able government and intelligent leadership.

In countries like these, allocation of funds is also an important aspect. Since the funds are not in excess, judicious allocation of funds is required. That’s where the main question arises. There is a difference in opinions here, which arises due to different thought process of individuals. The question which arises is, should developing countries concentrate on improving industrial skills or should they promote education first.

The answer here is, we need to find the balance between the two factors. Since both the factors are equally important for the growth and development of the country. Education forms the base of what an individual turns out to be. With education one makes a more informed decision about the different aspects of his/her life. Since education incorporates a sense of good and bad in the conscious, an individual is less likely to get influenced without knowing what he/she is getting into. That’s power of education. It forms the root of all the individuals and their progress in future. Education not only imparts knowledge but also cultivates a sense of wrong and right into the individuals. However industries form a separate division in whole.

Industries depict the growth of an economy and a growth of people who are able to be self sufficient and provide for their family members and themselves. Therefore development of industries forms an important aspect of the development of the countries. Hence allocation of funds to industrial development also is necessary. However education makes an individual perform efficiently at his workplace. Makes sure that the work is performed with efficiency thus decreasing the throughput time. With education forming the base of everything and industrialisation forming the base of the development and growth, it’s high time both are given equal attention. With careful research, one would be able to allocate funds to the exactly the right sector, thus helping in the development and progress of the nation. Because it is rightly said, progress has little to with speed, but much to do with the direction.

Healthcare is changing rapidly. It is affected by a variety of different influences, from information technology, to economics, to government policy and regulation, to the changing demographics of society, to the advances in medical research. And all of these things will affect the trends in nursing education as well.

One more obvious trend is the use of computer technology. The use of this technology has increased access to clinical data, and has reduced the amount of time it takes to access the information. All of this has improved the care of patients and led to better outcomes.

Another major trend is the use of the electronic medical record, which replace the traditional paper documentation. Consumers will be much more knowledgeable as well because of access to the internet. And more medical goods and services will be delivered electronically.

Nurses in the 21st century will need to be knowledgeable in the uses of computer technology. Nursing education may involve more distance learning, and make it easier for nurses to continue their professional education. Computer technology will allow nursing students to simulate clinical conditions electronically to help them learn.

Because of globalization, nursing education will have to address the issue of the spread of disease across national boundaries, and deal with emerging disease threats around the world.

Nursing education also will have address the changing economic situation in healthcare. Nurses will need to have an understanding of how to care for patients in ways that improve quality, deal with the complexity of care, and do so in a cost effective way.

Nursing education will more and more have to deal with the impacts of health policy and regulation. As costs go up, state and federal regulations will become more of a factor in healthcare. Along with the regulation, there also will be trends toward moving to less expensive ways to deliver healthcare and to apply market forces to keep down costs.

There is also a trend in nursing education to incorporate more nursing science and research, which are playing much greater roles in nursing practice. Nursing research is providing a scientific model for healthcare. This research deals with how patient behavior affects health, how to manage symptoms of illness, helping patients and their families cope with illness and its treatment.

One trend in nursing education is related to the makeup to the student body itself, which is likely to become older. And schools of nursing have to be ready to deal with the challenges of educating an older student.

Another trend affecting nursing education is the increasing complexity of patient care. Patients in hospitals now are more acutely ill — there are almost as many beds in critical care and other specialty areas now as there are general use beds. Because life expectancy is now longer, there is an increase in the number, severity and length of chronic conditions, which adds to the complexity of the care needed.
